Description: Each year, Madison Metro and the Associated Students of Madison (ASM) provide a bus pass to the University of Wisconsin-Madison student body. This pass is distributed to 40,000+ students each year. I was given the opportunity to design the bus pass identity system, along with the corresponding signage and marketing materials, for the 2019–2020 school year.
Solution: My goal with this design was to emphasize the important role that transit plays in connecting us to our campus community. The completed identity resulted in a playful display of icons uniquely tailored to the beloved landmarks of the UW-Madison Campus. The structure of the design is fluid, allowing it to easily adapt to the diverse sizes and orientations of various promotional material, while remaining consistent, distinct and recognizable. The bright colors were chosen to provide high visibility for both students and bus drivers in low-lit conditions, and stand out from the other cards typically found within a wallet.
